The Division of Audio-Visual Arts at the Faculty of Humanities (FH), NDU, organized on March 11 and 18, 2017 a workshop titled, “The Film Language: How to Make Static Objects Speak”.
This full two-day filming workshop aimed to give students the opportunity to learn the importance of each main element that constitutes the art of film-making and its role in delivering messages through the unsaid.
The event was divided into two Saturday sessions: the first session involved camera and shooting, and hands-on training in addition to some explanation about the elements of film-making and the ways of expressing through images. Then students had a whole week to shoot their ideas, and their work was assessed during the second Saturday session.
At the end of the workshop, a jury formed of Radio/TV & Film instructors and selected Radio/TV & Film senior students selected the winning films.
